Ingredients
- 1 Cup Split pigeon pea / Tuvar dal
- 1/2 Cup Bengal gram / chana dal optional
- 1 Nos Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 Cup Dil leaves / sabsige finely chopped
(Optional)
- 6-7 Cup Green chillies finely chopped
- Small Piece Ginger finely chopped
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Coconut grated
- Few Sprigs coriander leaves finely chopped
- Few Sprigs Curry Leaves finely chopped
Step Wise Procedure
Directions
- Wash
and absorb dal water for around 2-3 hours. Deplete water.
- In
a blender, heartbeat the lentils coarsely alongside green chilies and
ginger without including any water.
- In
a bowl, combine ground lentils, onions, dill leaves, coriander, curry
leaves, coconut, hing and salt.
- Warm
water in a steamer. Oil idli plate with oil. Make oval formed dumpling and
place them in the lubed idli stand. Steam cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Whenever
done, present with chutney or Majjige Huli of your decision
